$31,837 - $47,756/yr
Category: Full-Time; Non-Exempt Department: Treasurer's Office Performs complex administrative work in the County Treasurer's Office. Work involves locating, tracking, and collecting delinquent real estate and personal property taxes as well as other debts owed to the County. Work also involves assisting taxpayers in arranging suitable payment plans for settling tax debts and acting as an intermediary while handling difficult customers. Employee specializes in (1) State Debt Set Off Program, (2) State Vehicle Registration Withholding Program and (3) Bankruptcies. Employee is responsible for supervising and assigning work to subordinate employees. Employee is also responsible for balancing daily receipts and researching accounts, as needed. Employee must exercise independent judgment and initiative.. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, public administration or a related field; and 1 to 2 years of progressively responsible experience in collections, accounting or related field, preferably in a government setting; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must be proficient in using Windows, Microsoft Office software products, and Seagate Crystal Reports. Requires ongoing education in computer technologies. Requires staying abreast of ever changing County ordinances, State and Federal Laws.

(Planner I) $37,919 - $56,879/yr (Planner II) Category: Full-Time; Exempt Department: Planning Performs professional work in the County’s planning office to help ensure the orderly growth and efficient administration of public resources. Work involves thorough knowledge and accurate implementation of codes, regulations and processes pertaining to land use and development; Performs subdivision plat and development plan reviews, responds to inquiries from the public regarding land development regulations and assists with work on various local and regional planning initiatives, code amendments and updates to the Comprehensive Plan including gathering, evaluating and disseminating information pertaining to physical, social, economic, transportation, and environmental planning and zoning issues. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in urban planning or closely related field and Planner I - 1 to 2 years experience in planning and local government work preferred; Planner II 3 to 5 years experience in local planning, or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
